Miss Jesse 03WWhen we purchased the herd, we knew we were buying some of the best available.  This 03W cow has separated herself from most of the herd.  She is an easy-keeping Jesse of Brinks daughter out of a cow family that the McCreary’s brought to Alabama in 1990.  Originating from the Arnold herd in Texarkana, they bought their 03 family matron, 03T Arnold’s Dynasty, when Truman Arnold dispersed his herd, primarily because of the flooding of the Red River there.  03T was in the donor program in the Arnold herd.  The McCreary’s bred her to an Excel son they had purchased from Damron Brangus to produce MF Ms Walker 03B.  03B averaged a weaning ratio of 104 on 8 natural calves, the last of which ratioed 115 weaning, a CEO of  Brinks 03C - King's Sweet Homedaughter, 03M4.  CEO added a great deal of performance to the line, and the McCreary’s used CEO extensively in their herd.  03M4 is the dam of our 03 family matron, 03W.  The combination of  Jesse back on the CEO/03 dam was near perfect.  03W has a perfect udder, great structure, plenty of rib, and a good disposition.  She first calved on her second birthday, in December of 2011 and has a calving interval of just 358 days as of calving 03C, pictured right. 03w’s pic above is right out in the pasture with this 300+ lb really good bull calf nursing her.  03C is a really good Sweet Home son, and may be the best of the 2015 calf crop.  03W is slated to become a premier donor at King Land and Cattle, LLC.   She fits the mold.  Function First!
